Stuck to unstoppable.

Career advice & training.

Home of 'unstuck in 30'.

Have you ever felt stuck in a rut? stuck in your career?

Perhaps you're doing a job you hate, or your confidence might have taken a knock or you suffer from imposter syndrome. Perhaps you've trained for a career that you now feel unable to leave, you're returning to work after starting a family, you dislike the management around you or maybe you just can't find a job you love or there are various factors that make it impossible to enjoy your current role and all of them are affecting your mental health?

I can relate.

In 2019, I was trapped. I felt stuck in the multi-million pound agency that I'd built in the 9 years prior. Arguably at the top of my game, winning clients and awards, I had no idea how to get 'unstuck', how to build the resilience and skills I'd need to walk away and start again without a plan or vision of my future and nor did I know how to do it whilst also protecting my mental health, being a mum, wide and business leader.

But I did!

This is Dogs and Coffee Network and I'm going to share with you how I did it, so that you can to.

Don’t stay stuck,
become unstoppable.

Hi, I'm Dawn (find me on Linkedin Dawn Farrow). I love dogs and coffee so much so that they are my focus for the first hour of each day. As I sit quietly in the kitchen, my family sleep, my two dogs and a giant coffee are the two things, that when combined go towards making me feel unstoppable. But this wasnt always the case...

In the years that I was building and running my business I was described as a business powerhouse; a go-getter with the drive and ambition to make things happen’, mostly I loved what I did. I worked in the heart of live entertainment marketing shows, events and live experiences around the world, building the best team and trying to live my best life. But it was hard and growing the business to turn over millions also meant forgetting my own career development. The business I had built in order to financially free me ended up trapping me, making me feel stuck and I had to create a change.

Dogs & Coffee Network is a direct response to my personal experience. I know exactly what it feels like to be stuck in your career, to feel as though you've lost direction, that you're not sure exactly what you'd like to do but you know it's not 'this', that you feel unmotivated to start on the job applications and even more unmotivated to stay. That finding a new career takes time and energy all of which is hard to grasp at the best of times and that actually you spend most of your day thinking and caring for others so how the heck are you meant to find the time for your own career?!

I get it.

But now is your time. You may be in your 30's, 40's or 50's and that means you have anywhere between 15 to 35 years of working life ahead of you...say what?! Petrifying isn't it?!

How do you want to spend this time? Feeling unmotivated, lacking confidence, focusing solely on others (wiping their snot), letting others rule your time and thoughts, allowing people with less ability and experience get ahead of you, never chasing the ideas you had, the job you wanted or the industry you wanted to get into?

Or

By joining me on this journey? Acknowledging that you're stuck, taking power from this and best of all working with me to learn how to become unstoppable in your career (and in truth life itself!).

Take a look at the list below to see where to start on your 'stuck to unstoppable' adventure. Instagram is where the fun is at, LinkedIn has some great tips, YouTube is full of practical advice and the guides are useful if you are ready for interviews (we'll get to that later).

I'd love it if you wanted to work me and you can do this in two main ways:
1. 'Unstuck in 30' one to one sessions
2. 'Stuck to Unstoppable' day course, small group coaching

Success Stories

*Jessica, Loss of confidence

Quietly following Dogs and Coffee across social media…

‘Hi Dawn, hope you are well. I just wanted to message you to say thank you. Your Dogs and Coffee network has really helped me in one of the most difficult and challenging times in my career. You have helped me with the motivation and positive vibes you have put out there I have an interview for a job I really want next week. I’m honestly not sure I would have had the confidence to apply for it if it hadn’t been for some of the things you have posted and that fantastic imposter syndrome chat months ago. I know it’s just an interview and I still have that hurdle to jump but I really appreciate everything you are doing. Fingers crossed the interview goes well and I get to where I want to be again.’

*Susanna, The small business owner

Susanna had been part of the Dogs and Coffee network via the newsletter and following social media for many months and loved the content we were sharing. Working flat out in the pandemic, Susanna came up for air in 2021 and approached Dawn to tailor make a programme for her and her business. Here’s what she said after just the first session:

‘Thanks so much for the session - it was great. It was surprising to realise how little I've really discussed my career.

AND... I just said no to some work that I'd usually accept, but knew would compromise my time. Results already?!?!’

*Matthew, out of work for 18 months Having been out of work since before Covid-19 struck the UK, Matthew approached Dawn to get a 1:1 pre interview pep talk. The results speak for themselves: ‘I GOT THE JOB!! Thank you so much for your talk before, I think it really gave me some confidence to just go in there and smash it. So, thank you for your positivity. It makes such a difference.’
